YouTube sponsorship rate calculator
A basic estimate from average views and a wide CPM band. Useful for a first pass. Not a quote, and not a substitute for channel-specific pricing.
Formula: average views ÷ 1,000 × $20 to $50 CPM. Optional engagement rate tilts the band.
How to calculate average views
- Open the channel and pull the last 8 to 12 long-form uploads.
- Drop the biggest outlier if one video is clearly viral relative to the rest.
- Average the remaining view counts. That is your working number.
- Ignore subscriber count for pricing. Brands buy views and attention, not vanity totals.
Why engagement rate matters
Two channels can post the same average views and deserve different rates. Higher engagement usually means a more attentive audience. Lower engagement is a reason to stay near the bottom of a CPM band.
What this calculator cannot see
- Niche and peer-group CPM differences
- Live channel metrics pulled from YouTube
- Offer terms like usage rights and exclusivity
- Pipeline, Deal Library, Gmail sync, or live ROI sync after you pick a number
